- What is your role at the clinic, and what do you do on a typical shift?
“I’m a nurse: I take and record patients’ vitals and determine the reasons they have come to the clinic.” - What made you decide to volunteer at the Brattleboro Walk-In Clinic?
“Healthcare is important to everyone! I utilized a free clinic at one point in my life when I did not have healthcare.” - What do you find most rewarding about your time here?
“People appreciate the services the clinic provides, and I enjoy visiting with the other volunteers.” - Is there a memorable moment or story you’d like to share from your time
volunteering?
“Meeting a patient who was a student at SIT and was from the country I volunteered in for the Peace Corps many years ago in West Africa. We were able to speak a few phrases of her local language together. It was a special connection.”
